About the Author

I get bored a lot.

As I wander through my life, seeking my place in the world, one thing I have discovered is my passion for writing. To sit down and create something out of nothing, using only words to cause emotion, is one of my greatest joys in life. I enjoy writing short stories, screenplays, blog posts, jokes and Tweets. I'm inspired to write by two of my friends who are just as passionate, if not more than I am about writing, Zach Youngs and Steven Lo. 


Writing is never perfect, but that's what makes it beautiful.

I am currently a co-own a small general contracting company called Red Door Renovation. A resident of Western Washington, I have been known to indulge in some of the finer things in life, such as a cup of coffee, a glass of wine, an engaging blog post, or an afternoon walk. I have a particular affinity for the rain, jumping on the bed, laughing so hard I can't breathe, cracking jokes, Tweeting, the word "gorilla" for some reason, elephants, mini M&M's, eyeshadow, narwhals, dancing like when nobody's watching, football, Crown and coke, boating the Dave Matthews Band, the show Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead, writing in bold, using the word "also" for comedic effect. Also, pennies. Since I just listed things I love, how about some things I despise? PT Cruisers, the word "terracotta," bad wine, cell phones (specifically texting), weather over 75 degrees, the Pittsburgh Steelers, goat cheese, having to pee, feathers,  being serious (though I'm a good faker), street sweepers (absolutely terrifying), actual gorillas, and Tom Brady.


When trying to keep up with my hectic life, all I can hope for are those little moments of perfection that take all the significance out of the world and let me be carefree, if just for a moment. I yearn for simpler times, but with age comes wisdom and from wisdom comes appreciation of the world and the life I get to live.
